Dr Mir Abolfazl Mostafavi, Director

Dr. Mir Abolfazl Mostafavi is a full professor in the Geomatics Department at l’Université Laval. He is the Scientific Director of the Centre for research in geomatics (CRG) since June 2010. He was a member of the GEOIDE Network Centre of Excellence for 10 years. He is currently a regular member of le Centre de recherche de l’institut de réadaptation en déficience physique de Québec (IRDPQ) and the chair of an International Society for photogrammetry and remote sensing (ISPRS) international working group on spatial database semantic and ontology . His research interests focus on geographic information systems, 3D modelling and representation, spatial data semantic and interoperability, geosimulation, spatial data structuring, mobile geospatial augmented reality, distributed sensor networks for smart cities and transportation.

Hedia Sammari, Scientific coordinator

Ms. Sammari holds a Phd degree in geomatic sciences from Laval University since 2014 where she is a lecturer.

By jogning the team of the Network, Ms. Sammari is primarily responsible for promoting the scientific activities of the Network and the cooperation amongst members, to participate in some research projects and to organize scientific events.
