Public Health Agency of Canada

The Public Health Agency of Canada mission is to promote and protect the health of Canadians through leadership, partnership, innovation and action in public health. Its role is to:

  • Promote health;
  • Prevent and control chronic diseases and injuries;
  • Prevent and control infectious diseases;
  • Prepare for and respond to public health emergencies;
  • Serve as a central point for sharing Canada’s expertise with the rest of the world;
  • Apply international research and development to Canada’s public health programs; and
  • Strengthen intergovernmental collaboration on public health and facilitate national approaches to public health policy and planning.

ACRIgéo

L’Approche de coopération en réseau pour l’information géographique –ACRIgéo  (Network cooperation approach for geographic information)  brings together 21 departments and agencies of Quebec government. The ACRIgéo fosters dialogue, cooperation and synergy between these organizations and with members of the networks associated with them.

The ACRIgéo is based on the development of partnerships for the acquisition, production, sharing and dissemination of geographic information. It promotes the development of  geomatics common tools and services.

Within Convergence Network, the ACRIgéo is represented by le ministère de l’Énergie et des Ressources naturelles and le ministère des Transports du Québec.

Defence Research and Development Canada

Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) is the national leader in defence and security science and technology.

As an agency of Canada’s Department of National Defence (DND), DRDC provides DND, the Canadian Armed Forces and other government departments as well as the public safety and national security communities the knowledge and technological advantage needed to defend and protect Canada’s interests at home and abroad.
